Spotlight on successes from a challenging year

Welcome to the first Kevlar Electrical blog post, where we’re looking back on some

of our recent work and reflecting on the positives from what has certainly been a

very challenging year for all trades…

With six years’ experience in the industry, we obviously see changes all the time, but

the Covid pandemic has definitely thrown us new challenges we couldn’t have seen

coming.

The first thing to remember here is that for all electrical work - big or small - using

fully qualified and experienced electricians such as ourselves is vital to ensure the

job is carried out safely in every sense. During re-wiring and fault finding, we do

come across some surprising finds, and in these cases it’s especially important you

have a professional on hand to ensure it is made safe.

This last year has involved projects large and small, from a warehouse install and a

whole house rewiring to downlighting and strip lighting installs both inside and

outside the home.

For all of these jobs, working with quality tools and materials really pays dividends -

our laser level and tripod have come in particularly handy for our indoor lighting

installs, and using eye-catching fittings such as the Dowsing and Reynolds bubble

lights is definitely satisfying: you really see the difference before and after, as the

room comes to life.

We’ve also seen some new trends taking hold which show how we’re all starting to

live our lives differently - wall connectors for home electric car charging and video

doorbells being just a couple of examples of this.

Sometimes, it’s these jobs that appear small on the surface that can be the most

satisfying, and you never know where that first job for a satisfied customer could

lead in the future - at the end of the day, you can’t put a value on quality service

and a happy customer, and receiving that positive feedback really does make a

difference.

Here’s hoping that 2021 is the start of brighter things for us all - meanwhile, we’ll

continue to be here for all your electrical needs. We work mainly in West Sussex,

Hampshire, Surrey and London but are happy to travel to surrounding areas.

Remember to keep an eye on our social media feeds for further updates on our

work. Until next time!
